Multisensory entertainment for the whole family
The installations and gathering areas introduced since the 25th edition, will be back this summer on the Les Grands Feux site, along with several new features, including :
- The family zone is transformed into a colorful new universe
- The Magic Forest – This magical, colorful universe was designed in collaboration with Mirari, a multidisciplinary creative studio based in Montreal, to offer an enhanced, immersive playground for participating families. The transformed space features decor reminiscent of an enchanted forest and incorporates interactive installations, including a structure in homage to the Plaza’s Grand Feu. This installation will have young and old dancing on its luminous floor.
- A brand-new initiative will liven up the Magic Forest: Story Time, in collaboration with Radio-Canada. Every evening at 7 p.m young and old are invited to gather and listen to the reading of a unique story, an original creation by the Les Grands Feux du Casino Lac-Leamy team. The book itself will be available in July on the event site, at the Habitude Design boutique and on the Les Grands Feux website. A portion of the profits will be donated to our chouchou cause 2024, the Gîte Ami.
- The Digital Art Box presented by Hydro-Québec will exhibit a new creation:
- With the look of an ordinary industrial container, this new creation will be more interactive than ever. Mathieu Doyon, designer and artistic director at Mirari, imagined a new digital version of the old school “hole for faces” sign where your face is transformed into a veritable firework display, lighting up the sky with a multitude of other lights.
- Partner activations to enhance the festival experience:
- A new partnership with the local company Matelas Lapensée will give festival-goers the chance to win a memorable experience in the Matelas Lapensée Comfort Zone. Contest details will be announced shortly, and we invite people to subscribe to our newsletter to be the first to know.
- Bell, Promutuel Assurance, Matelas Lapensée, Tourisme Outaouais and the SAQ will be on site to add to the Les Grands Feux experience and bring the site to life.

Support with us the 2024 chouchou cause: Le Gîte Ami
Festival-goers are invited to contribute to our chouchou cause by making a donation via the online ticketing service when purchasing their tickets, or directly on the event site during the festivities. We are proud to support the Gîte Ami, an organization dedicated to the social reintegration of people experiencing homelessness in the Outaouais region, and to add this contribution to our active measures in terms of sustainable development, a key principle in all our actions.
Concrete actions to reduce the environmental impact of our shows
Les Grands Feux also agreed on the following parameters to reduce the impact of the shows, in collaboration with their loyal partner, Royal Pyrotechnie, producer of the shows:
- Reducing the maximum amount of explosive material per show
- Increased integration of green pyrotechnics in each show, from the current threshold of 20% to 25% by 2024
- Integration of lighter moments into the performance to help reduce its overall concentration.
