Temporary Closure of Pathways

Les Grands Feux du Casino Lac-Leamy, in collaboration with the National Capital Commission (NCC), wishes to advise the public that sections of multi-purpose trails will be temporarily closed due to the set-up of its event site and on show nights. 

From July 24 to August 1 inclusive, access to the section of the Voyageurs Pathway between the Alexandra Bridge and Rue Laurier will be restricted, resulting in its closure for safety reasons during site set-up, from 9 am to 3 pm. Please note that the section of the trail behind the Digester Tower will remain accessible at all times. 

On August 2, 5, 9, 12, 16 and 19, sections of the multi-use trails on both sides of the Ottawa River will be closed and patrolled for safety reasons, in the following areas: 

• Ontario shore: the Ottawa River Pathway, from 7 to 10 p.m., between the Alexandra Bridge and the Ottawa Locks (via Chemin des Pionniers, below Major’s Hill Park);
• Quebec shore: the Voyageurs trail between the Alexandra Bridge (behind the Canadian Museum of History) and the Portage Bridge, from 5 pm to 10 pm.
  
  Please note that the event will be dismantled from August 20 to 23 inclusively, and that traffic may be disrupted.
