Les Grands Feux du Casino Lac-Leamy, in collaboration with the National Capital Commission (NCC), wishes to advise the public that sections of multi-purpose trails will be temporarily closed due to the set-up of its event site, as well as on show nights.
From July 22 to 30 inclusive, access to the section of the Voyageurs Pathway between the Alexandra Bridge and Rue Laurier will be restricted, resulting in its closure for safety reasons during site set-up, from 9 am to 3 pm. Please note that the section of the trail behind the Digester Tower will remain accessible at all times.
On July 31, August 3, 7, 10, 14 and 17, sections of the multi-use trails on both sides of the Ottawa River will be closed and patrolled for safety reasons, in the following areas:
Quebec shore: the Voyageurs trail between the Alexandra Bridge (behind the Canadian Museum of History) and the Portage Bridge, from 5 pm to 10 pm;
Ontario shore: the Ottawa River Pathway, from 7 to 10 p.m., between the Alexandra Bridge and the Ottawa Locks (via Chemin des Pionniers, below Major’s Hill Park).
Please note that the event will be in dismantling mode from August 18 to 22 inclusively, and that traffic may be disrupted.
